Patch Testing

A patch test helps to aid the diagnosis of allergic contact dermatitis, a delayed hypersensitivity reactions that occurs with direct exposure of skin to a substance to which you are allergic. Common contact allergens include ingredients in shampoos, soaps, makeup, jewelry, medications or clothing. Patch testing is an in-office procedure that can identify potential allergic and irritant triggers to your skin.
